We have arrived safely ater a flight of 24 hours. As expected it is cold and rainy, but who cares, we are in Dublin and it is wonderful!
|Our first taste of Ireland|
Our first full day was surely FULL. We have walked and walked the steets of Dublin City. We have visited Trinity College and viewed the Book of Kells, such a fascinating historical achievement, a true treasure of Ireland. We have strolled up and down Grafton Street, the famous shopping street closed to traffic. We also visited Dublin Castle and the Carmelite church of St Teresa's. My daughter's name is Teresa so it meant something to us. Surprisingly beautiful church and monastery.

|An Irish coffee at the Stags Head Inn|
This afternoon were entertained by a true Irish Storyteller in an old Victorian Pub which they tell us is haunted! No ghosts appeared for us, but the storyteller was "grand". Walking home to our hotel we stopped by a genuine Irish pub and enjoyed a dinner of Irish Stew and a Guinness.
