From the hill

The view from the hilltop church in our adopted home of Ennistymon. If you look closely you can see the Atlantc.

Ennistymon, County Clare

The view of the cascades and the bridge over the river at Ennistymon.  The people have made a channel to catch e salmon when they run.  Maybe not used anymore.

The Earl's Study

It is a puzzle how on earth they got the furniture up the tiny spiral stairs, down and around the very narrow passages and into the chambers!

Bunratty Castle, County Limerick

A country cottage in the folk park at the castle grounds, and a view of the castle itself. It was a complete surprise to us that the inside of the castle was so livable. The folk park was well set out and showed us examples of all sorts of homes. The interiors were furnished with authenticity.
